Being banished from her hometown, Liselotte decides to try her best to get use to the country side. Being faithful, her former servants worry for her, and decide to follow. Whenever Alto or Anna show their worry, Liselotte says "I didn't come here to die or rot away. I came here...to live".

The story slowly unravels with witches and a mysterious stranger being introduced. Should this stranger be feared, or admired?
